Originally established by Rev. Dr. Henry K Pillai in 1979 alongside a small group of believers, the Carey Island ministry witnessed a significant revival in the 1980s and 1990s within the palm oil estate.

In 2006, Pastor Maniam Muniandy, guided by the Holy Spirit, rejuvenated the ministry's purpose on Carey Island, reigniting a transformative movement. God's faithfulness was evident not only on Carey Island but also in Telok Panglima Garang, touching lives of children, youth, men, and women, and continuing His transformative work.

Beyond spiritual impact, the ministry initiated social initiatives, including aiding the less fortunate, hosting social, children, and youth activities, and partnering with a government agency for health awareness.

The ministry's reach has extended to locals and even reached Sri Lanka and Myanmar, fostering the growth of leaders – lay pastors, church leaders, and evangelists.
