Going Higher in The Lord’s Love

Ephesians 3:18–19 (NKJV): "May be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God."

God’s love is higher than anything we face in life. As we come to Him, He reveals more and more of His love to us. However, as finite beings, we will never fully comprehend the vastness of God’s love.

As believers, we must be rooted in the Father’s love. When we are firmly rooted, no news of war or calamity will shake us; instead, it will bring us closer to Him.

In this season, we need to recognize His voice and obey Him. Obedience to the Lord’s voice can be a matter of life and death. Knowing the fullness of the Father’s love gives us confident hope in the Lord.

Romans 8:35, 38–39 (NKJV): "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? ... For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

The battle has already been won. We are now proclaiming the victory that our Father has secured for us. Jesus accomplished it on the Cross, and we now have hope and confidence in total victory.

Colossians 2:15 (NKJV): "Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it."

God allows trials and tribulations to produce godly character in us. He is more concerned with our character than our gifts.

Romans 5:3–5 (NKJV): "And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us."

We are destined for victory, not failure. We have been made more than conquerors through Jesus Christ, and as we live as conquerors, we impact those around us. Our hope and confidence in the Lord should stand out, even in bad situations, causing people to ask us about it.

Romans 8:37 (NKJV): "Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us."

We can be victorious because God always leads us in triumph. He can turn our stumbling blocks into divine building blocks.

2 Corinthians 2:14 (NKJV): "Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place."

As we come to know the fullness of God’s love, we realize that no challenge is too big for Him. We see this in Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who faced great trials in the Babylonian kingdom but remained steadfast in their faith.

1 John 5:4 (NKJV): "For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith."

When we know the fullness of the Father’s love, our perspective changes. People with rejection issues see things through the lens of rejection, but we need to learn to see through God’s lens, as He has a destiny for our lives. Do not let circumstances dictate your life.

Romans 8:28 (NKJV): "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose."

Nothing can separate us from the Father’s love.

Romans 8:38–39 (NKJV): "For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Psalm 139:7–8 (NKJV): "Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend into heaven, You are there; if I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there."

Conclusion

We are destined for victory, not failure. What does God want to teach us through our life’s experiences? Where is our hope and confidence?

Remember this: It does not matter what we go through; what matters is who is going through it with us. He will carry us through.
